Assessment rationale/justification
This species is apparently known from a single record in the UAE, in Wadi Mowrid (Fujairah, northwest of Masafi; Feulner 2014), where it was found along a donkey track. Pagad et al. (2017) considered this species to be introduced to the UAE through agriculture, however, the UAE native plant working group (May 2019) considered the species to be native to the country. Confirmation of the origin, distribution and population status of this species in the UAE is needed, and it is currently considered to be Data Deficient.
