Assessment rationale/justification
The total population has not been estimated, and analyses have not been undertaken to determine whether there is significant subpopulation structure. Overall the subspecies is common and believed to be adaptable to change. It is often found in marine areas used by people and is susceptible to shooting. No serious immediate threats have been identified over any substantial part of its range.; La population totale n'a pas été estimée, et aucune analyse n'a été entreprise pour déterminer s'il existe une structuration marquée des sous-populations. Dans l'ensemble, la sous-espèce est commune et on croit qu'elle s'adapte aux changements. On la trouve souvent dans les zones marines fréquentées par l'humain, et elle est susceptible d'être chassée.
