Please note, this National Red List website contains a subset of data whilst we transition to national focal point driven data uploads. We thank you for your patience with this and welcome national contributors to get in touch to update their national dataset. Terms of Use including citation guidance are found here.

The previous dataset is available via: https://archive.nationalredlist.org/. This site is no longer updated but can help with most enquiries whilst we focus on redevelopment.

The National Red List Working Group (NRLWG)

The National Red List Working Group (NRLWG) of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) Red List Committee (RLC) focusses on developing and implementing ways to improve linkages between national red listing efforts and the IUCN Red List, and on tools to help national red listing efforts, which are often based on adapting the tools available for global red listing processes to better suit national needs.

The NRLWG are particularly engaged with the application of the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria in combination with the Guidelines for Application of IUCN Red List Criteria at Regional and National Levels to support national assessments.

The NRLWG also serves as the custodians of the National Red List Project and play a key role in guiding the redevelopment of the database and website, in line with the Red List Strategic Plan (RLSP) 2021-2023 Target: "The searchable database for all National and Regional Red Lists is updated and further developed, and linked to the global IUCN Red List."
