Assessment rationale/justification
Canadian population is small, fragmented (likely a few thousand), and there is no rescue potential from the United States. Habitat is threatened by human development and fragmentation, but much of the remaining population is in a national park.; La population canadienne est petite et fragmentée (probablement quelques milliers d'individus), et il n'y a aucune possibilité d'un secours de la part des États-Unis. L'habitat est menacé par l'aménagement par les êtres humains et la fragmentation, mais la majeure partie de la population restante se trouve dans un parc national.
