Although the species is not very common in the Canadian Pacific Ocean, it is considered to be abundant worldwide. There are no known threats in Canada.; Bien que cette espèce ne soit pas très commune dans les eaux canadiennes du Pacifique, elle est considérée comme étant abondante à l'échelle mondiale.
