Habitat details as listed in assessment
This annual species can reach up to 0.35 m and has variable leaf shapes (Jongbloed et al. 2003). The basal leaves have scalloped edges, while the stem leaves have three lobes and the upper most leaves are smooth edged with an almost lance-shape (Jongbloed et al. 2003). Yellow flowers can be seen between February and April and the shiny fruit has a long, curved tip (Jongbloed et al. 2003). The species occurs within plantations and shaded, irrigated fields (Jongbloed et al. 2003) but has also been seen in more natural sites (G.R. Feulner pers. comm. 2019).
