Assessment rationale/justification
Although described as rare within the UAE in general, this species is locally common within its range in the Ru'us al-Jibal. However, it would be beneficial for further research to help understand any potential threats that this species may face, in addition to their affect on the species. It is assessed as Least Concern.

This species occurs in the Ru'us al-Jibal in the UAE (Jongbloed et al. 2003, Feulner 2011). It is regularly seen at high altitudes, although it persists at a range of elevations (Feulner 2011) Globally, this species occurs in Oman, the UAE, the Middle East and Central Asia (Board of Trustees, RBG Kew 2018).

This species is an aromatic, annual herb that grows up to 8 cm in height and grows in silt between rocks (Jongbloed et al. 2003). It produces white flower-heads, with yellow disc florets, between February and April (Jongbloed et al. 2003).
