Assessment rationale/justification
Within the UAE, this species is common and widespread in the Hajar Mountains and in the Ru'us al-Jibal to c. 1,100 m asl. Despite an estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) of c. 4,200 km2, this species can be considered as generally common. There is little information available on threats, population size or trend, which makes it difficult to assess it under the Red List criteria. Therefore, it is currently considered to be Least Concern.
