Assessment rationale/justification
Previously found in LMNP and KVNP but now extinct from both these parks. At risk of extinction without urgent conservation measures. Pian Upe (EOO + AOO is 2154km2). A severe drought is considered a potential extinction risk throughout its remaining range. Population total estimated at 70 (estimate from Sport Hunting concession 2014), therefore population size (mature individuals) well below this.
